Kant's work «Universal Natural History and Theory of the Heavens» was actually written by 1746, i.e. by the time Kant left the university. However, he only published it in 1755.
The book served as a basis for the popular cosmogonical hypothesis, which is known as the Kant-Laplace nebular hypothesis.
