World of Immanuel Kant

World of Immanuel Kant

A major historical reconstruction project aimed at creating a virtual replica of the city of Immanuel Kant — the early 18th century Konigsberg, and its day-to-day life.

VR-tour “By the Castle. A walk with Immanuel Kant” (English subtitles available)

Project Mission
Drawing on a wide range of sources, IKBFU scientists are using 3D computer modelling to recreate the world of Immanuel Kant, including the philosopher's home, the streets he walked, the houses he observed or visited, and the look of 18th century Königsberg in general. Using new digital technology, historical records become a full-fledged virtual reality

free-icon-3d-television-2429027.png IKBFU historians and philosophers have developed a Kant's virtual route around Königsberg. It will allow you to plunge into Kant’s world and see what the modern streets od Kaliningrad looked like three centuries ago
